What are some good resources for equity research?
I am interning at a hedge fund and want to put together a professional looking report for a company. I am doing it remotely so I only have access to Capital IQ at my school. I am going all out for this because I want an offer. I want to include economic forecasting and everything else a traditional ER report has.
What would you recommend?
If you're at a hedge fund, you're much better off not going for a full-fledged ER report because when HFs actually get full-fledged ER reports they tend not to even read the whole document. You're much better off giving a concise but punchy thesis that demonstrates a lot of work behind it without actually showing said work. Hedge funds want actionable ideas, not long-winded commentaries.
