Why are there so many physicians in ER?
This might be a dumb question, but why are so many docs in healthcare ER? Of course there are factors such as not wanting to practice etc.. but aside from enjoying finance more wouldn’t these guys make more practicing medicine?

it's a lot of years in residency/fellowship making 50k with long hours before you're a practicing physician. why not make a lot more and earlier in ER?
