Thanks. Makes sense that mid and July it will become more intense. I kinda understand interns staying longer, you don't want to be seen as the one to go home first even if you did a good job and you have not much to do for the day. In your BB, do interns get to choose their sector or they are assigned to a team ?

 

I was a BB ER intern last summer. In terms of hours, it was 65-70 per week during non-earnings weeks but that varies depending on your senior analyst. I only had to work on a couple weekends and that was only due to time sensitive projects that needed to be completed. Some senior analyst will look negatively on you for leaving before them while others will tell you to go home if they don't have anything for you to do. At my bank, we were assigned a sector while friends at other BB went through placement interviews.
