Would this be an appropriate means of cold calling/emailing?

I am a BS level scientist working for biotech company with an interest in ER and thus leaning towards the MBA however if I could break in without the MBA would be prefered. My question is, I usually listen to our company earnings conference call, would it be inappropriate to contact the analysts that cover my company and express my interest in working in ER?

Posted twice in two appropriate forums I thought. Didn't get much response initially in once. Didn't go overboard and spam every forum did I? Not sure where your attitude is from.

As nothospitalER mentioned it would be in hopes of showing initiative (or creepiness?)

I often hear of after a stint of ER a common exit opportunity is to work in industry of one of the companies they cover as they know the field and their competitors. Just curious if the reverse was ever seen.

Shouldn't be any conflict of interests, I am not high enough on totem pole to know any non-public material knowledge..
