Apple Watch Bands

With Christmas over and some extra cash in my pocket, am looking to get my first watch. Apple watch seems like a great start and is something I can wear in the office. Anyone have any watch/band combo recommendations? I was thinking of getting the regular black aluminum shell but am unsure on what band would be fine in office bus casual wear.

Ignore title, incoming sa.

Bit late on the reply here but I'd recommend one of the Apple leather straps. A black aluminum case likely would go well with their black or brown modern buckle bands ($150 I believe). If you want aluminum, their Milanese loop is also nice ($100). Also, if you can afford the stainless-steel case, I would go for it. Much higher quality seeming, has scratch-resistant glass, and looks much classier.

There are likely some good, cheaper 3rd party options out there also but be sure to check reviews on them as they can vary wildly in quality. I paid $70 for 3rd party "leather" band that felt like plastic on my wrist. My current daily is a black stainless steel case with a black modern buckle band.

Also, may I recommend getting at least one quality non-smartwatch? I find an Apple watch to be a little too casual for more formal occasions (or when trying to impress someone). I know the watch measuring game is a thing in certain IB environments so having a decent traditional watch might be worthwhile professionally too. Lmk if you want to and I can make some recs for you based on taste, budget, etc.

Thanks that was really helpful. I am planning to save up around 1.5k for the first formal watch and was thinking of maybe a black leather or stainless steel option. I have been thinking about the Tag Hueur F1 Blue Dial since high school so that's the current goal but am definitely open to suggestions since I don't really know much about watches.
