big 4 interview attire

What should I wear to Big 4 externship interviews this year and big 4 internship interviews next year? I have a black suit, blue shirt, and yellow tie with black shoes and black belt but I have heard black suit is bad. Is this true?

I would wear a simple black suit with a white shirt and maybe accounting colors tie (silver/gray, dark blue, maybe some black stripe action). Depends on which practice your going for though. The Assurance and Tax practices, everybody looks pissed off and tired (also fat), and in Advisory they tend to look a bit more sporty with more dress sense.

Accounting colors? This post made no sense and didn't provide solid advice. What practice you are "going for" has absolutely no bearing on what suit you wear to an interview. As everyone above mentioned, charcoal or navy suit, white or powder blue shirt, and then conservative tie. I don't know why you recommend a silver/gray or black striped tie. None of these things will make a difference in the interview though, especially because Big 4 firms are not very pretentious when it comes to interview attire for UG candidates. Just be yourself and be confident in what you wear. These what to wear threads never cease to baffle me...
