billowy sleeves

I bought some shirts online and they look great with the waist and neck but the sleeves are WAY puffy. I'm not sure if its because the sleeves are too long (I'm wearing 32/33 the shortest I can find).

Could a tailor shorten the sleeves or bring them in for a reasonable amount of cost? Like less than $15 ideally.

I'm starting my first BB internship where it's business casual so I can't just hide them with a suit unfortunately. I just don't want to look like an idiot and feel out of place.

Can anyone help me out with some advice?

How much did you pay for them online? I forget what the rule is but if the cuff goes past the knuckle of your thumb then I'd say it's too long.

I sometimes find that rolling up the sleeves helps mitigate the billowy problem a little bit.

My one gripe with Brooks Brothers shirts. Fit so well, except the sleeves are huge and billowy, and I just can't see paying more than $10 to have them taken in. It's become motivation lift more...

OP, you would probably do better if you did not buy the pre-sized (off the rack, whatever you want to call it) shirts with 32/33 sleeves. I am willing to bet that if you found a shirt that was just a "32" sleeve length it would fit better. I am also willing to bet that if you take the shirts you bought to a tailor, they would end up looking great. You might be able to work out a deal if you are having a few of them tailored.

This and this, most tailors will negotiate once you have more than a few shirts. DO NOT roll up your sleeves, the senior guys will only think "who the fuck is this guy to take it easy?" Open two top buttons and rolled up sleeves = power, and you have none for a while.
