Can a navy be too dark?

Buying a navy suit and came across this. Looks pretty dark but I can still see a subtle navy shade. I know you shouldn’t wear black, so I’d love to get feedback on if this is acceptable.

Does seem on the darker side. Would prolly avoid to be safe but who cares at the end of day. If u like it then cop it

 

I wear a suit with this exact same fabric - it looks closer to navy in hand 

I think because the model is wearing a black shirt the blazer looks darker than it is
