My favorite: Navy Suede Gordon Rush Wilfred

Believe they’re discontinued. I’m a 12E and those are a 12 - have molded perfectly to my feet without socks. Had to restitch the vamp on the left shoe after a year of wearing them 3-4x a week. Got them on sale for $60 (retail $200) - absolute steal. The Cartwright is basically the same shoe and is their newer version. Most color ways aren’t super professional, but I don’t wear a suit so am able to pull off the suede.

I also own Allen Edmonds. I don’t recommend the SFO loafer. The sole is foam, and the leather is cheaper than their other shoes. For $80 it’s not bad because I wanted some tan loafers, but anyone who is knowledgeable about the shoe game could tell something is off with them.

I have the Randolph in a 12E, but I don’t wear it much. Doesn’t fit my foot well, but I got them before I knew about different lasts. If I ever see another pair of Gordon Rush’s on sale, I’m 100% grabbing them.

I agree about local cobblers / shops having great stuff for the value, however that’s still “expensive” for most people. There’s a nice place near where I live but Oxfords start at $400 and boots $450.

If I add up all my shoes I’ve got a few thousand dollars worth, but I’ve found some of my cheapest to be the ones I wear the most

Thank you! I'm going look around for a local craftsman, I'm totally cool with spending ~$500. Just didn't want to go with something more flashy like your typical bit Gucci/gamos, although I do have a pair of the latter that I love but don't wear to the office.

No problem, yes ~$500 - $1200 is the range BUT having someone who can give you a solid warranty etc is 100% worth it IMO. They'll probably be on the low side of that FYI. The custom fit is nice too... most off the shelf lasts don't work for my wide feet personally.
