Moving to Chicago and will be walking to/from the office + gym. First time I will be walking for my commute, so want to consolidate my work and gym bags into hopefully a hybrid bag that I can use for both. Looked at the Away Everywhere bag, not sure how I feel about lack of separation from sweaty gym clothes and the bulk of my work items. Anyone have a hybrid they like?

Maybe have a look at the Osprey range they make some cool convertible duffle/backpack models
not sure your budget but I use a filson small rugged duffel. buy a laptop sleeve for your laptop if you need to and you should be good to go. also awesome for a carry on for traveling.
I like the Troubador Everyday Duffle
I really like my AER bag - they have a great gym duffel that might fit the bill, their daily/travel packs are also awesome. I would also check out Maverick & Co - I bought their Maximus that I use for gym & work, and they have a few other options that might fit the bill. I was a bit skeptical, but it's held up pretty well so far.
