How often do you rotate your suits?
I have 3 suits (black, grey, navy) and was wondering how should I rotate them throughout the week. Do you guys have any system like wearing black on Mon-Tues with different pants and shirts, then 2 days of navy, etc?
why not just buy another one?
Gotta be honest this makes no sense. If you switch your pants then you're no longer wearing the suit... You're wearing a suit coat with different pants..

Does doing this make sense, fashion-wise, in an office setting?
Don't wear a black suit to work.
Don't wear a black suit. If you rotate the pants it's much less formal.
why cant you wear a black suit to the office?
Black is for funerals and other events that specify (my fraternity had a couple dinners etc. that required black suits)
I am in a similar position though, I have 3 suits and need to pick up a couple more. How many suits do you guys find yourselves comfortably rotating through during the week?
I'd say that the good majority of the street no longer requires suits on a daily basis. Most places are BC these days.
Even if firms are BC is there any advantage to regularly wearing a suit? I know it depends on the culture of the company but I don't see any downside
I don't know why you'd wear a suit everyday when your group is BC. It sounds nice on paper, but you'll get really tired of dealing with a tie all day, and people will generally pick on you (in a friendly way) for overdressing.
I wear a suit for a week, then change.
can you wear a green suit like light green
I'm actually quite surprise to hear that black suits is a no-no here. When I went to power days, everyone is wearing a black suit. Maybe it's different after you get the job.
Couldn't agree more with the other posters. Black is a no-no.
You CAN wear a jacket of a different suit with different pants but it's probably not best practice. Those are what sport coats are for.
If you're office requires business formal, then I'd just rotate them daily like an above poster said. Another way to freshen up the look is switch the belt and shoes (but please make sure they match). As in one day wear dark brown shoes and belt with your navy suit and the next time you wear your navy wear burgandy. This way you don't look the exact same each time.
This is also contigent on being able to afford multiple sets of belts and shoes. Which contradicts that fact that you're in a situation where you can't buy a new suit. Just thinking out loud...
You could wear the same suit on back to back days with a different shirt and tie and no one would notice. I wear whatever suit I grab out of my closet in the morning. No set rotation
I'm changing my suit every day, I have a few more though. If you are an intern then just pick your favorite suit on Monday and Thursday and the other two ones on Tuesday and Wednesday. Friday should be business casual.
In case that you are an analyst, then get 5 suits or so.
Definitely not jealous of the groups that are BP four days per week. Those groups are the exception these days, not the rule.
Yeah, it's a pain in the ass and it is utterly useless. There's no face to face client contact in the office anyway and you'll know at least one day in advance that you have to travel to a client or a meeting. It's just bullshit.
Why not just buy suit separates and get 1 jacket and 2 pairs of pants. This way you are technically wearing a different suit but it is still the same jacket / pants combo?
Also does anyone know if Indochino would make you a second identical pair of pants with your suit for a little extra $?
I believe they do for $100
don't wear your Monday suit on a Tuesday, and so on..
Don't wear black to work
Buy two new suits
Stop overthinking this. Wear different ties and slightly different shirts and no one will notice or care. Your individual suits shouldn't stand out enough to be memorable anyhow
I have 5 and I usually wear a different one everyday and only have them dry cleaned maybe every 3 or 4 weeks. If you're going to be working in an environment where you have to dress business formal everyday for the rest of your foreseeable life, you should go ahead and make the investment in a few good suits and a bunch of shirts.
I have 5 suits, a few sport coats and around 20 shirts. I wear a different shirt every day. I also have a lot of ties and shuffle them around with shirts. I agree with the advice about changing shoes and belts. I try to do that every and it makes you look much different. Do you guys wear pocket squares with your ties or that's frown upon? And from what I understand bow ties and suspenders are for MDs?
As opposed to wearing the same shirt every day...?
Don't do this as an intern, but once you start full time, no one cares.
Really?? Do not wear a bow tie.
You have three suits, but problem is there how to rotate three of them within a weak, so there is no problem use each one just for two days and about last day, i mean to say seven day, it's your weekend, so you can wear your weekend a casual dress, like short with t-shirt, if you still feel that you can't rotate all three, so better shop 1 or 2 more suits.
