iBanking watches: Baume et Mercier Classima (Quartz)

What do you guys think about the Baume et Mercier Classima? Many in the industry say its the perfect intern watch for ib but at face value it just seems like the bankers version of the Timex Weekender. It has a great price and probably well built but nothing more. I understand you can't expect more given the price your paying for it, but I'm just so curious as to why people love this watch so much. If you are one of those people please elaborate.

FYI I originally posted this in the IB forum but someone told me that I'd get better answers in the Fashion section.

I wouldn't waste money on Quartz watches.  I would find an automatic movement watch that will be in the same price range (not sure how much the Classima Quartz are, but happy to recommend if you tell me your budget) since movement and unique name brand goes longer than some just name brand

If you're desperate to get a watch for your internship for reasons we may not understand, then yes that is a fine watch given it's price. But understand that if you actually like watches it may be worthwhile saving up for an automatic movement post your first-year bonus etc for a brand you actually like vs one you want to ask is socially acceptable. Not saying B&M is bad or anything but if you're about to drop material money on a watch, may as well hold out for one you love
