Overcoats that fall above the knee are stupid

Overcoats that fall above the knee are stupid. This is such a dumb trend, and it was popularized by clothing companies who wanted to cut costs of material. And these young kids who don't know any better, have fallen for the hype. They don't even realize they're getting ripped off.

Overcoats traditionally fell below the knee, to keep your fragile joints warm. I have 8 wool/cashmere overcoats and they all fall below the knee. I see all these young bucks with their modern overcoats, freezing their knees off and it irks me.

Anybody else agree with me? This is just completely non-practical, overcoats are a clothing item that are supposed to keep your suits dry, and your body warm. Now I look l like a grandpa with my overcoats that fall below the knee, and I refuse to get mine tailored just to keep up with this idiotic, cost-cutting trend.

Am I just being a grandpa? Change my view.

Who cares as long as you're warm. I agree that below the knee is more practical but it's not like you'll get frostbite if the coat ends just above the knee or mid-thigh..
