Shirts for built guys

Looking for dress shirt recommendations as a guy who's proportioned like a bodybuilder. I'm talking around 44-45 chest and 32-33 waist, with big lats and rib cage. Some of you may know, it is a nightmare finding fitting shirts at this proportions without either parachuting at the bottom, or your chest looking like it's about to bust out of the shirt and pop the top 2 buttons. Tailored is out of price range as far as I'm aware. Any brands you know that cater to this market?

Hey Monkeydevelopment, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your thread! Bummer...could just be time of day or unlucky (or the question/topci is too vague or too specific). Maybe one of these topics will help:

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.

I had to bite the bullet and get it custom made. It was worth the investment because they last a long time if you treat them well.

I'm a size 44 chest and 34 waist, although I put on a bit of weight that I need to lose.

Short answer: no off-the-rack brand designs for a 12" drop (the difference between your chest and waist measurement.) Your best bet would be to start with 4-5" drop and then find a local tailor to take in the remaining amount for ~$20/shirt. If you watch for promotions at Charles Tyrwhitt or TM Lewin, you can find opitons for $50, and have them tailored to fit for less then that the list price of shirt at Macy's.

Here's a post that can help you find your best-fit off-the-rack shirt. https://www.wardrobeessentialist.com/post/athletic-fit-dress-shirts

i'm a 43.5 chest 33 waist and wear TM Lewin super fitted one size up, so they fit my chest/lats and not too baggy on the waist since it's super fitted
