Starting new job with business professional dress code...
I just accepted an offer with local business consulting firm. I was told the dress code was business professional everyday...from what I've read that means basically a suit and tie, correct? When I was in for my interviews, everyone was wearing ties but no jackets. Anyone have guidance on what I should have for my first few weeks, at least until the first paycheck comes through? I just recently graduated, and all of my past jobs have usually just been dark jeans and polo shirts, so dressing up like this is a whole new world for me.
I've also let my hair grow quite long, which I tied back for my interview but I think I should get it cut, especially since I am eventually going to be working with clients. Any suggestions on a hairstyle? I've had Cobain like hair since I was like 14 so I don't really know what to ask for...
Business professional means suit and tie (or at least slacks, tie, and sport coat) every day. Taking the jacket off is more a matter of "am I hot right now?" or not.
Also, absolutely cut your hair.
You don't have to get a high and tight, but any longer than say
