Suit suggestions for work NYC
Work at a conservative firm with business executive dress code. Need to pick up a few new suits. Trying to spend around 500 but get something pretty decent (probably on sale). Any good recommendations in NYC? Any custom tailors that have reasonable prices and good quality stuff? I got a few in Asia in the past and they were great quality for only about 350. Thinking of ordering from them again, but shipping jacks up the overall price quite a bit
Figure out what fits you (what your measurements are)/what you like, then go to http://www.styleforum.net/ and check out the listings and see if there is anything that would fit. It's the WSO of clothes. You can get some great deals (I've bought several items at 15-20% retail).

Can you or anyone comment on CT's suit quality? I'm a fan of their shirts but never ventured over to their suits. Are they worth the $395? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Maxwell's Tailors is priced decently for bespoke suits and they do an OK job. However, you'll have to wait for them to tour North America again (probably a few months), since they are based in Hong Kong. Or hit Barney's spring sample sale when it comes around and you should be able to scoop up a conservative-pattern Zegna suit at a deep discount.
