Watch Folks - What's your take

Incoming Analyst at a BB in Tier 1 city starting in a few weeks. I'm currently rocking an Orient Sun & Moon with leather strap as my entry level. Classy yet affordable imo, and will likely be my daily driver going into IB.

I'm eyeing a Tudor Black Bay Blue for my next one at some point in the next year, but am wondering if this would be too flashy for in the office as a first or second year. Want to add something on the sportier side for summer and weekend wear but not ready to splash on a Sub yet. Takes? Anything similar you'd recommend? Should I just hold out for a Sub instead?

If you want a Tudor get a Tudor. If you want a Sub get a Sub.

This isn’t difficult.

I love how people on this forum always wonder what they are allowed to wear or not to wear as juniors when it comes to luxurious stuff

No one give af, you could wear a Patek that no one will say anything or even better, think a thing of you.

The only thing that people will say something about is if you show up in jeans and sneakers to a meeting for example

But belts, watch, suits, NO ONE CARES

It's mostly driven by this old anecdote

Lazard analyst walks into MD's office wearing an Hermes tie. MD says "come over here," takes out a scissor from his desk drawer and proceeds to cut the tie in half while it's still around the neck of the analyst. MD takes out a $100 bill from his wallet and says, "now go buy 5 analyst ties."
