Ex-athlete here.

Wear whatever you want. Less effort, the better. If you really care, to look more ~athletic~ to athletes, wear mid-calves and non-black sneaks and NOT muscle tank. Some cali dudes pull it off, but 9/10 times looks shit.

Wear the leggings if you must underneath but if Jordan didn't need them, Lebron doesn't either and therefore neither do you.

For the chubby dudes and NARPs out there just getting into the gym for the first time, first of all, mad respect--anyone who gives you shit or dirty looks is insecure and fuck them. In terms of outfits, same for you. You can wear a hoody or sweats if you like, maybe invest in a good pair of Nike dry fit black shorts if you're concerned about butt sweat, but don't worry about all that sweat too much. It makes you look harder than the skinny bitches on the next rack/treadmill who don't want to admit they might've been in your shoes before--or are just not working as hard as you are.

"Pan European Monkey" I solely workout in gucci sleds WITH fur, Patagonia vest with my bank+team embroidery and off white shorts.

Off white shorts? Dude, why aren't you wearing shorts in the company colors?

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

People shit on them but Lululemon T.H.E. shorts are pretty great. I have a bunch of them in black/grey/blue. Don't really care about the top, I'll usually just wear whatever t-shirts I have laying around.

I've worn Nike Pegasus running shoes for as long as I can remember. I just get the new version every time it comes out. They're great all around running shoes if you're not a super serious runner. If I were a sprinter or ran marathons I'd probably get something more specialized but I only run 5-6 miles once a week and these work great.

Head-to-toe. Nike Prestos; highlighter green. Nike socks or Hanes, doesn’t make much of a difference. Leggings, because I skip leg day. Quad shorts. Dri-fit t-shirt. Maybe a zip up pull over if I’m jogging outside in cold weather. Anything below 40 degrees requires a cotton hoodie instead. I use to wear gloves during my calisthenic pull ups and dips but I stopped, I grew a love for the hard skin. It makes my handshakes firmer.

Funniest

usually running a test blend but will go test-c 400cc if available

if on PCT, I’ll stack it with some milk thistle (I don’t usually find it helpful, but it doesn’t hurt)

was on dbol but it gave me really bad acne so sticking with the intramuscular shots.

However, for others, fashion can be a priority when it comes to workout gear. They may prefer clothes that look good and make them feel confident during their workouts. For these individuals, choosing clothes from a brand or designer they admire, or that have a particular aesthetic, may be important.

In the end, the choice of workout gear is a personal one, and it's important to choose clothes that you feel comfortable and confident wearing. Whether that means prioritizing functionality or fashion is up to you.
