WallStreetStandardI see ppl with these shoes... the sad thing is that some of them are young ppl in their 20s...
Why is that sad? I don't think an old guy could pull those off.

The shoes are fine, I just personally think the gold horse bit looks atrocious when you could have a silver horse bit. There is no issue whatsoever with the style of shoe and in fact a horse bit loafer is arguably the most common shoe you will see a banker wear apart from oxford lace ups, and at the junior level loafers are far more common and not a single fuck is ever or will ever be given.

That being said, I don't really think there is any point in paying $550 for the Gucci name and the hideous contrast of the gold on black when you can get Cole Haan or Allen Edmonds for roughly half the price and the look is more or less identical.

I just really don't like the stitching along the angle of the sides. And the fact that they're Gucci.

And Rufio, I don't think patent leather is typically appropriate for everyday work, or everyday life. They seem very tuxedo to me. Also, not sure those are really patent leather

They are completely fine for everyday work, assuming that you work in an office and not a salt mine. It's a matter of sartorial preference but you see it all the time in the business world. Also, if Gucci, Ferragamo, Allen Edmonds, Cole Haan, Bruno Magli, and Testoni are referring to their shoes as patent leather, I figure they know what they are talking about.

Alright alright. I know what patent leather is. Wasn't attacking your preferences or anything. I just find some levels of shine a little too much (when they look synthetic).
