Company Database - Companies that might do banking

BTbankerOkay, so right now when you input a ZIP code, and specify you only want companies that do "investment banking", you come up with a lot of results of companies that might do banking, asset management, and consulting. The problem is that even though the company has a banking division, it might not be in that ZIP code. I was just curious as to whether it would be possible to narrow the results even further to only show firms that only do banking in that ZIP code. I know it would require a lot of work, but it would remove a lot of erroneous search results when people are trying to cold email a specific branch.

Man, that would be incredibly tough because we'd basically have to add in meta-deta to each branch...in that sense, each "branch" woudl be its own company. It already took us a hurculean effort to just get these 1,000s of companies and all thier locations loaded (never really finished)...I'm not even sure if many of the companies themselves specify what services are run out of each branch. I'm sure some do, but some have very limited information on their public websites (which is what we have to go on).

Wish we could do something like this, I just don't think we have the man-power or even access to data to make that a reality in any realistic timeframe. If you see a certain branch in your desired zip, you can try going to website and see if they give more info on what that specific branch does befoer targeting them with a cold e-mail.
