Posts with Highest SBs

Can we have a way of honing in on the individual posts that have gotten the most SBs, just like we can do for users and (sort of) for threads (with WSO score)? For example I recently came across an older thread from a few months ago where a single post relating to starting a hedge fund got 16 silver bananas. It would be very useful to be able to isolate those kinds of posts. Otherwise it's almost impossible to find them because they can be buried in threads that don't have a high rank overall.

Might make sense to have separate ranks/lists by forum as well. Of course it's possible all this already exists and I just missed it.

well to the right of this comment you will see "Highest Ranked Content" which is largely determined by # of SBs given to that thread.

I 100% agree that it would be great to include the highest ranked comments based on some similar "WSO Score"...I think we tried this about a month ago and the query to sort through 700,000+ comments was massive and kept crashing our server.

Although I think if we cache it heavily, we may be able to provide something like the "Top Comments on WSO"...I agree it would be a great way to dig out the best comments that aren't necessarily in highly ranked threads.

Will see where we left off on our To Do list.

Thanks, Patrick

Having a Top Comments on WSO list would be pretty nice, but there are more limited lists that would also be good and easier on the server I would imagine (sorting through less posts by limiting the starting sample). For instance, "Top Comments in Hedge Funhouse from 2012", etc.

ok, here's a start...somehow got the query light enough to bring it live: http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/highest-ranked-comments

now we have the highest ranked comments...some real golden comments in there.
