Technicals Only Forum
I'd love to see a strictly accounting and finance forum. I know it's been talked about a lot, but pooling the technical knowledge of "the tools of the trade" seems like something everyone could benefit from. Any ideas?

Having a special forum for fin/acct topics also allows newbies to go through and have common questions answered (since they wouldn't be lost in the ocean of topics that is "General IB Discussion").
At least that would cut down on the common "what are the valuation methods; what are comps" type of questions.
I believe nychimp is waiting for the upgrade to happen before he makes any more changes though.
good idea. Excel/computer tips/shortcuts and research advice would also be helpful
yes a technicals forum would be very nice
bankersball have a section on excel shortcuts but its quite limited.
Pretty simple, do you know the answer?
How is valuing in FIG different than valuing anything non-FIG? I'm talking trading comps here.
For bonus, how is DCF modeling done differently here?
