Allocator to HF?
Hi, I'm an analyst at T10 University endowment (over $10b). After three years, I've developed a passion for HF. What's my best chance of switching to HF? I studied math and CS in college, so I am interested in quant, but leaning towards traditional L/S or L/O.
I understand switching directly to a hedge fund from an allocator role is nearly impossible, so I'm considering applying to top MFin programs (e.g., Princeton, MIT) or an MBA. I'm also currently studying for CFA Level 3, though I know the certification may not hold much weight.
Do I have any chance? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!
