You can profit handsomely from anything if you get out in front of a tidal wave of capital that's about to head in any particular direction. That much I'm sure of. I bought a couple grand of crypto a few years ago at the advice of a friend who's more intelligent than I am, and it turned into tens of thousands of dollars not because I'm so smart but because I happened to be standing in front of a tidal wave of capital that came rushing in.

I hear people think ESG is one of those "next big things." I don't have any opinion because I sort of wrote it off as "woke" corporate virtue signalling (trying to buy protection from the economic left) and I'm focused on other things. But if you dig into it deeply and conclude that a wall of capital is heading that way, then you could make a lot of money quickly. Of course, on the other hand, solar power has been "the next big thing" for like 50 years.

I'm paraphrasing, but Paul Tudor Jones once said ("Trader" documentary) that the entire world was simply nothing but a flowchart for capital.
