Balyasny Asset Management offers summer internships in a variety of fields, including commodities and/or macro, but there have been no discussions on the topic. Understand it is highly competitive. Is anyone familiar with the process and timeline? Should candidates network? Any insights would be appreciated.

Seen some people have equities SA since early this year
Someone at my school even did Balyasny equity sophomore SA before CAP/P72 junior SA. No idea how that worked. Only saw HK/SG equity opportunities when I applied.
Anecdotally--if you know someone sr or a pm likes you theyll make a spot if theyre taking an intern. you guys seem kind of clueless there is not rly any structured process for equities for undergrads.
Do they convert to a pod/Bridger FT? If not, what do most people do?
