Anyone has opinions on which is a better activist fund in terms of track record, diligence, average holding period, growth opportunities, comp, AUM per person etc?

They’re not really comparable. Baupost is not an activist fund, Third Point is an event shop whose activism tends to be more financial engineering focused and Trian’s activism is famously operational/strategic.
You’d be lucky to end up at any one of them from a career/comp perspective, I’ll just put it that way.

They're totally different jobs, you should go with the one you enjoy more / are better at. If you're truly indifferent then you may want to step back and evaluate your career decisions.
