Best NYC non-tiger cub SM HFs and LOs
Incoming ER associate going working with a top II ranked analyst. I want to either to SM HF or LO in NYC after my stint. What are some under the radar 2.5+bn SMs and what are the best LOs in NYC?

Point72
Well not sure there are many “under the radar” that are 2.5B+
Samlyn and SRS come to mind for me. Those are Tiger funds but assuming you meant not Lone Pine/Viking/Coatue
Some are below $2.5B. Soroban, Palestra, Brave Warrior, Select Equity, Cadian, Scopia, Glenview, Alkeon, Eminence, Eagle Capital, Edgewood Management, Corvex, Sachem Head, Slate Path, XN, Darsana, Deccan Value, Kingdon, Jericho.
Good luck trying to find a job at any of these places. They collectively hire 3-5 people every year.
Why would you go any of these places over point72 or citadel? Doesn’t make sense given difference in name recognition and idio alpha vs riding beta
this forum treats any SM better than MM
No one said anything about taking these over Citadel and Point72. I swear pod guys have the biggest chip on their shoulders. Just go to wherever you feel like fits your personality best.
Here we go again…
Who are those 3 -5 people?
Mostly homeless, beggars and other types of degenerates. At least 1-2 per year exit from being the guy who runs the coffee cart on 52nd Street. You have to think outside the box if you want to get a shot.
