Lehman Brothers CDO desk - top notch in the structured credit world
bump
Maybe the ranking criteria would be aum? Is this like clo funds? If so I think york and diameter may invest in those markets
presumably funds that invest into publicly traded structured credit products - Niche ABS, CLOs, RMBS, CMBS, CDOs etc. Not CLO managers.
Ok thanks
I'll start off with some names that should be considered tier 1: Goldentree, Ellington, Waterfall AM (WAM), Fortress
Not sure if you can provide any insight, but if given an opportunity to work at one of these funds out of college, would you take it over IB?
In a heartbeat. (Though have heard culture at Goldentree is eh..). I view them as cream of the crop in terms of the minds I'd like to learn and develop from.
How would you slot Citadel in here, if at all? Obviously a reputable shop, but any cache within CLOs / structured finance specifically?
Running list in no particular order - Bramshill Investments, Ellington Management Group, LMCG Investments, Magnetar Capital, DFG Investment Advisers, GoldenTree Asset Management, Deer Park Road Management Company, Wynkoop Financial, Angel Island Capital (GGC), Arena Investors, Atalaya Capital Management, Athyrium Capital Management, Axonic Capital, Crayhill Capital Management, LibreMax Capital, MP Securitized Credit Partners
This is right, would add Castlelake and Medalist
thoughts on pimco and blackrock's structured credit teams?
