Bloomberg Launchpad Layouts for Equity

Noticed there is almost no thread on Bloomberg Launchpad layouts so thought I'd create one. Got my own BBG recently and would love to learn more about optimal Launchpad layouts for equity research. Understand that visual representation is probably not convenient, but maybe just a list of functions separated by pages would be super helpful!

Currently running DES, GP, GF, FA, CN on my equity page. Yet to create pages for W and macro functions (WEI, ECO etc.).

For optimizing Bloomberg Launchpad layouts for equity research, here's a structured approach based on the most helpful WSO content:

Equity Research Page Layout:

  1. DES (Description Page): Provides a detailed overview of the company, including key metrics and descriptions.
  2. GP (Graph Price): Essential for tracking historical price movements and trends.
  3. GF (Graph Fundamentals): Allows you to visualize fundamental data like revenue, EPS, or other financial metrics over time.
  4. FA (Financial Analysis): Offers a deep dive into financial statements, ratios, and other key metrics.
  5. CN (Company News): Keeps you updated on the latest news and developments related to the company.

Additional Pages to Consider:

  • Macro Page:

    • WEI (World Equity Indices): For monitoring global equity indices and market trends.
    • ECO (Economic Calendar): Tracks upcoming economic events and releases that could impact markets.
  • Custom Pages:

    • W (World Markets): Provides a snapshot of global market performance.
    • RV (Relative Valuation): Useful for comparing companies within the same sector or industry.
    • EQS (Equity Screening): Helps in filtering stocks based on specific criteria.

Tips for Layout Optimization:

  • Group related functions together for better workflow efficiency.
  • Use Launchpad Monitors to display real-time data for multiple stocks or indices.
  • Leverage Alerts to notify you of significant price movements or news updates.

This setup should give you a solid foundation for equity research while leaving room for customization based on your specific needs.
