Case study while already at MMHF

Trying my luck here. Interviewing for another seat while current at a MMHF seat. The other team ask to do case study on a given ticker within current coverage. However, current setup has strict surveillance on IT/data (I.e VPNs/remote desktop, emails etc). How do you go about putting together a case study when you basically can’t access anything. Interested to hear what people do in this situation. Thanks

Hey appreciate the reply. Actually want to double check —- so usage of BBG and VA (to grab sellside models) in a non-VPN otherwise clean personal computer can not be detected by firm? I work for one of the big platforms so compliance would imagine to be quite draconian, thanks again

Can’t say for certain but it’s highly unlikely your org has tracking data from BBG/VA. That’s highly valuable, proprietary information that they wouldn’t share. Even if they did, it’d be a major gray area for them to come to you and say you accessed something that wasn’t on your work computer and there’s no way they would know it was for non-work purposes.

Yea friend also would not be able to send anything to me because of same reason

Just do it from scratch yourself and don't use buyside/firm resources. Its not that hard and other candidates who are from PE/Banking do that.
