Fairly non-traditional background. Currently in medical school, seeking a career in finance. Cold emailing lots of firms for summer internships.A fund manager at a smaller (~$400M L/S) healthcare focused replied and set up a call with me to "briefly chat" and cc'd his director of HR as well.Not sure what I should be expecting to discuss. I'd have an elevator pitch for a stock ready just in case at the least and be prepared to answer some follow up questions
Just had a similar “networking” convo with a fund manager. It could be anything but he will probably gauge your interest in the markets in the conversation. Have a stock ready that you like, and make sure you can talk about your PA if you have one.
