Compensation Question - Working in IB for 1 year
I have been working in IB at a bulge bracket firm for 1 year. I now have an offer from a startup hedge fund (open a few years, around 500 mil AUM). What should I request for compensation? What is going rate for that? Hours are 7 30 to 7.

the best advice is this. at your level, you shouldn't be worried about a few thousand here and there. the most important thing is to make sure that this is a reputable hedge fund and the firm intends to keep you for the long-term. many of the start-up small funds just want to hire the fresh investment banking analyst to do a bunch of comps and burn them out.
