Credit hedge fund analyst comp?
Curious if anybody knows ranges for those 2-3 years out of school at the $10bn+ funds

opportunistic and stressed/distressed
$350-500k for opportunistic in Tier 1 city
Is that just NYC/SF?
Floor is lower than that.
This was ~10 years ago but at the time there was a fairly junior guy at Oaktree that got $10m
Probably not the norm. 2-3 years post IB probably $500-750k? 5+ years post-grad probably looking at least 1m floor and your ceiling with depend on P&L/attribution/carry economics.
Where are you getting these numbers from?
Literally no one in the biz has a 1m floor except a handful (single digits) of tiger cubs
This is not true, at least for the megafunds with internal HF teams where floors around that level are common.
Pretty sure Carronade and Knighthead have 1M+ floors

TBH I think it’s very firm dependent
If you don’t get fired, I think it’s roughly 250 to 750. Once you start covering sectors on your own the ceiling will be lifted
Are the bonuses usually formulaic or discretionary?
What about first year out of school directly at a credit hedge fund on the opportunistic team at 10B+ fund (Shiprock, Bracebridge, DESCO, PIMCO)?
