DE Shaw Reference/Background Check Stage -- Offer likelihood?
How likely is it to get an offer after reaching this stage? Applying for generalist intern role.
Typically would think that this would mean an offer, but I heard DE Shaw is different. They asked one of my references for a 30 min call ...
Very much still possible to not get an offer even at this stage
would this be contingent on the references, or can they decide to reject me even if the references are generally very positive?
References, the BK check, they could also just change their mind
Are you a genius?
There are probably loads of non geniuses there too
Pretty sure you have to be at least borderline genius to get a job there.
Slightly over 50%? From having done the process twice.
