D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments Analyst (DESRI)

Does anyone have experience interviewing with or know any details about D.E. Shaw's Renewable Investment team? Through research it just seems like a separate entity that buys renewable energy projects/companies. Considered a PE group or just a renewable co?

My first job was at a renewable energy developer company. when I interviewed at DESRI they were interested to see if I had a grasp on project finance modeling, tax equity partnership structures, and an overall understanding of renewable energy project economics. I ended up taking an offer at Wells Fargo's Renewable Energy Environmental Finance Group which focuses solely on the tax equity financing side.
