DE Shaw Rotational Associate

How is this program? How likely are you to land an investing seat after the rotations? Any chance you don't get placed after the rotations? How is comp? Curious because there really isn't much information out there.

Thanks for this -- super helpful! I'm coming from a professional services background (big law, etc) -- not banking as my title would indicate. Just got outreach from a recruiter and wondering if I should throw my name in the ring given that from a comp / intellectual work perspective, it may be a step down if business needs determine there aren't investing seats available.

On your point about timing, how much does performance weigh into placement following the rotations? If it's timing / luck, no guarantee that even if you perform well, they'll have a seat for you? To that note, would it be possible to only do rotations within investing so it's guaranteed you'll have an investing seat upon completion?

Appreciate all the color here and apologies in advance for the noob questions.
