No large fund should have any pay discrepancy by location. But lets say head of pod is in XYZ and its hard to convince someone to come there they usually would give more of a sign-on or guarantee. If its easy to attract talent no point to care.

I work for a different fund in a lower tax area and the comp is the same as the NY office. No clue about Citadel specifically though
For revenue folks, I don't think that they could pay lower and I know of 0 instances where major funds do.
I also don't know of any instances that back office folks are paid less - but I am sure that is coming.
Big banks and big tech are already implementing that strategy.
How big is their florida office? How many pods?
