How well does ER at a top BB position you for different types of hedge funds? I have known several people to leave for L/S equity at the top MM’s but yet to see anyone move to anything else (have seen long only AM but I am specifically interested in the HF space).
Are multi-strat, activist, special sits or elite L/S Equity funds (with a longer term investment horizon than MM’s) realistic options from a BB ER background?
Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.
MM and special sits / event-driven are most natural.
Activist level of due diligence resembles PE more.
