First Finance Job or Experienced Exit Op?
Hey, so I accepted an internship offer at a medium-large hedge fund, but I haven't worked in finance before. Is that normal?
I thought hedge funds were generally exit ops from banking analyst programs, but from talking to friends in the finance community at my school it seems like some also take freshmen/sophomores. Is it possible to skip banking entirely and go straight into hedge funds, then?
yes
Cool -- that's what I was hoping.
but the ones will to take u are generally pretty shitty ones or really good ones. usually shitty ones are way more common. chances are if you need to ask, its a shitty one.
