Full Time Recruiting

Current summer analyst at BB in Trading interested in switching to a HF more on the quantitative side or multi-manager on equity side.  How does full time recruiting work for many of the top prop shops and hedge funds? Have not seen many job listings on companies' sites, so interested in finding out the best method for finding/getting a full time position.  How many full time analysts will firms, or names in buckets such as SIG and Millennium, take as full time analysts even if they did not spend the previous summer there? Thanks for any and all advice/feedback.
