Funds with the nicest offices

Slightly off-topic and might be a useless thread, but it's something I've always wondered about.

Most funds I've visited or worked at tend to have quite outdated decor with the classic wooden tables and three monitor set up. Haven't really come across any insane offices like you might see in banking or PE. Would love to hear about some anecdotes about especially nice offices anyone's come across.

Have heard Marshall Wace has some nice ones since they changed up their offices to lure more techies.

The Solow building - used to be the priciest office real estate in NYC but I don't know if that has changed. Can confirm Coatue offices are pretty crazy. Marble everywhere - felt like a 5 star hotel at times. He also gives everyone ipads and macbooks. I guess that makes up for the rough culture? I just interviewed there a while back and didn't see a ton though.

Nice offices generally have to do with how important it is to court investors/clients or keeping recruiting pipelines full (which is why IB tends to be "nicer" at times), or just throwing around the stupid money you have eventually. That is why a lot of HFs are just basic office digs in Greenwich sometimes, and other times they want the top floor overlooking central park.

most are old-fashioned Mayfair-styled historic London buildings. Most are in Mayfair or St James.

Glencore's London offices are pretty sweet, visited them while interviewing.
