From where did you hear this?
From the CEO himself during the town hall.
Around 100 - mostly impacting Corporate Services and Engineering. No impact in Research, apparently.
At the town hall, the CEO said, "I can't guarantee you job security". He hasn't said anything such as "this is behind us, let's move forward now" :( Do you think more layoffs are coming up?
One year later, and another round of lay offs, around 150 people again, this time affect research engineering, althought the Quants themselves have been spared. For now...
Do you know why?
I'd be surprised if there are more, at least in the core areas of the company.
Keep in mind that bonus season is close, so you have to also add the attrition of people collecting their fat bonuses and resigning afterwards.
Any updates on this? Any idea what the ballpark payouts are for senior partners there?
