Georgetown vs UVA for HF

Hello Wall Street Oasis Community,

As a senior in highschool trying to decide where to choose to go to college, I have narrowed my choices down to Georgetown McDonough vs UVA.

My goal is hopefully HF/buy-side out of Undergrad.

I was hoping I could get your perspective as to which one you all have seen more represented, will better prepare me, and has more opportunities within in the respective industry.

(my only concern is that I hope I am not jumping the gun by trying to go directly into a HF rather than doing a couple years in IB and then pivot.

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it!

Only Wharton and Harvard send that many kids to the buyside directly, and even at those places it’s very difficult. You’ll probably want to aim for banking first at either UVA or Georgetown. The rare top student at both those schools might ocassionally break through, but I’d just pick the school you like better.
