I am somewhat familiar with them. I spoke with somebody there - apparently a lot of people mistake them for a hedge fund. Their website isn't exactly clear. They are financial advisors, mainly for HNW clients and institutions.

That said, they seem very well regarded in their field. And you certainly gain some of the skills you would as a typical buyside research analyst.

 

These guys are definitely not a hedge fund. They are a large PWM/multi-family office that have grown to circa $20b off the back of the tech boom in the last decade. No idea on wages, I do know that they allocate large tickets to HFs though.
