I am somewhat familiar with them. I spoke with somebody there - apparently a lot of people mistake them for a hedge fund. Their website isn't exactly clear. They are financial advisors, mainly for HNW clients and institutions.
That said, they seem very well regarded in their field. And you certainly gain some of the skills you would as a typical buyside research analyst.
I know this is an older post but I'd like to bump it and see if anyone has any information regarding the OP.
These guys are definitely not a hedge fund. They are a large PWM/multi-family office that have grown to circa $20b off the back of the tech boom in the last decade. No idea on wages, I do know that they allocate large tickets to HFs though.
anyone have any additional info on exit opps or any info on what analysts here might do if they choose not to stay after 2-3 years?
They seem to have solid MBA exit opps. Otherwise, you stay in the FoF space or go to an asset allocation role at an endowment, pension fund, or Asset Management firm. You're not gonna go from Hall to an actual investment research role at a hedge fund.
thanks

Does anyone have info on Hall Capital Partners, Research Analyst? Saw a different post that said it's not a hedge fund, but am posting here to get a better idea on what they do/how they're classified.
Exit ops, work analysts do, salary, etc.
Could it transfer to a PE or HF role at a different shop in 2 years?
