Hedge Fund FT Recruiting
Anyone know of funds that are open to hiring an undergrad with internship experience? Don’t want to be too revealing, but I did two summers in L/S at a sizable fund (covid killed FT chances).
Happy to pm for further info. Cheers
Have you considered starting your own fund?
Doubt anyone would give me capital lol, still just trying to hone the craft
Maybe Stone House Capital Mangement run by Mark Cohen in Miami
Will check them out, thanks. How are you familiar w them?
That fund has $100MM AUM with 2 IPs... they would not be hiring.
Keep networking and pitching your stocks to places you want to work at.
If you are on good terms with the sizable fund, see if the founder / senior analysts are willing to float your resume / make phone calls.
Any thoughts on aum sweet spot? Would assume $500 easier for recruiting, but many of those have only 1 or 2 analysts
Try to get market salary + bonus for your experience level, don't go too small unless you strongly believe in his/her strategy and lineage (Tiger grand cub or worked for Louis Bacon or sth like that). I let others comment on at what size you can get market salary + bonus.
