HF Internship Offer

Hey guys. I have 2 internship offers right now and have to decide by Monday. Having a tough time. One is with a $50-80bil AUM fund in LA and the other is corp dev/corp M&A at a BB in NYC (think CS, Citi, BAML).

The corp dev one is obviously more on the finance side of things, but I think it may be interesting and it has a much higher probability of turning into a FT offer. My biggest concern here is that I'm a little skeptical about how this experience will help me during FT IB recruiting in the fall, should I not get/turn down an FT offer.

The HF one is more enticing simply because my end goal is to work at a hedge fund. I'm sure it will be a great learning experience, but it will definitley be much more unstructured and the odds of me converting it into a FT offer are unknown. If I knew that I had a decent chance of converting this into a FT offer, it would be a no brainer for me. I'm also not sure how having this experience on my resume will help me with IB recruiting. The fund kinda flies under the radar, but it is very well respected by those actually in the industry. It is also in LA, which I personally think will be awesome.

Anyone opinions on which one you would take, personally? thanks guys

Is it a satellite office in LA? I have trouble naming a HF that is even 50-80bn on the East Coast, certainly not one headquartered on the West Coast. Is this more of a mutual fund with a fair amount of discretion?
