HF/Family Office BO Internship as an Engineering Undergraduate?

What's up everyone first time posting on here. I am a current Junior majoring in Chemical Engineering at a school with a top 15 Engineering and Business program. I have recently decided to switch my career focus to working in finance, and ideally at a HF.

I have completed my final round internship interview for a former HF now Family Office, which has significant name recognition and tens of billions AUM. The issue is it is for a BO role. I currently have little modeling skills and in all honesty probably will NOT be able to find a FO internship of this caliber during this recruiting cycle. It is rotational and I know I will learn a lot, but if my goal is FO at some point I am wondering if I am better off searching for a smaller FO role somewhere else for next summer. Any thoughts/input would be great!

Side note: I plan to get an MBA at some point after working for a few years, but I want some financial work experience first.
