holocene's SEC adviser info filing is interesting they claim investments are on a "6-24 month" time horizon, who is putting on positions with a year long time horizon in a market neutral portfolio w strict drawdown limits?

everyone puts on investments with 1+ year time horizon (have to have some way to back into a target price that you can write down...).
Of course, if you get your catalyst earlier, you can decide to exit next week.

Would also like to add that Millennium and EP are different and should not be mentioned in the same sentence. Sure, they are both MMs, but they are structured a little differently and the PMs have a lot more autonomy and margin for error, meaning you won't be fired tomorrow just because you're down 5%.
