How Do I Prep for Starting as a Analyst

I'm about to graduate and start on the buy-side at a great shop and I'm super stoked. I come from a less rigorous background (read state school) so I haven't had much training outside of internships which were all buyside and didn't have much formal training.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of useful resources so that I can hit the ground running.  This job is huge for me and my family and I want to do as good as I can.

Thanks in advance for your help and not gatekeeping :)

apologies, going forward I will only ask intelligent questions... Ooo I got one! Do you have any friends or do you spend your day as a 35+ yr old stroking your ego on a forum half filled with undergrads? Hope that one isn't too thought provoking, maybe I should dumb it down

If you’re in such doubt about your skills and ability to contribute, how did you manage to land the job? Hell, you know more than most people here.

Your prob right tbh. 99% chance ill be fine 1% chance my boss has his way with my no-no square

(Ignore title). Not a comprehensive answer by any means, but would definitely review the technicals that you learnt while recruiting so that they're fresh when you hit the desk. Would also practice / brush up on your Powerpoint skills.

I'd also come up with some system for making sure that you remember what you learn once you start, as most of the stuff that you'll learn will come from actually doing the job. Making sure that you don't ask the same question twice / you come off as someone who can learn from mistakes / advice is what people will look for in the first few weeks / months.

Thanks, Ill try to keep a semi-detailed log of mistakes and things I learn
