How do sick days work at pods?
If you have the flu and are physically incapable of paying attention to the news flow/wfh, do you just have to use up your vacation? Has anyone been fired for being sick for an extended amount of time?

This is common sense. If you feel fine to work, then you work. If you can’t, then don’t. But usually people aren’t bedridden from an illness that many times a year
So if you're bedridden a single time for 3-4 consecutive days, it's fine? I just assumed it might be unacceptable since you are sorta irreplaceable esp in a smaller pod.
lets imagine that it was unacceptable - what choices do they have?
A. let it pass (cuz ur super ill and bedridden) and act like a normal company
B. fire you - how would that go? - 'Oh hes so important for us that him being bedridden for a week screwed up so now lets fire him and then spend a fortune in time + money + opportunity cost in replacing him'

If you're bedridden you should be powering up your 7 clawdbot agents to read the news, send emails, and make trades on your behalf. Just because you're sick doesn't mean you can't still lose your team money.
